Frameworks & Public Teaching

Alongside one-off events, I develop and teach conceptual frameworks that explore integration, leadership and the long-term architecture of sustainable change.

‘Psychedelic Mountaineering’

A framework for integrating challenging and destabilising experiences

‘Psychedelic Mountaineering’ is a conceptual framework I developed to describe the psychological and psycho-spiritual terrain people may encounter when intense experiences exceed existing meaning structures.

Rather than focusing on peak states or insight alone, the framework attends to what can emerge when experiences feel overwhelming, disorganising, or difficult to integrate — including fragmentation, loss of orientation, or disruptions to identity, meaning, and agency. It offers a way of understanding these experiences without pathologising them, while also avoiding spiritual bypassing or premature meaning-making.

The framework draws on my award-winning master’s research in Psychosynthesis psychology, recognised for advancing clinical insight and academic perspective in the field of psycho-spiritual psychology. It has been explored through lectures, workshops, and professional training contexts, supporting practitioners and participants to approach integration with greater psychological depth, ethical care, and discernment.

In the short talk below, I outline the core ideas behind Psychedelic Mountaineering and why challenging experiences require careful psychological framing, pacing, and ongoing relational integration.

‘The Inner Architecture of Slow Impact’

An integrative leadership framework exploring how sustainable outer change reflects the inner architecture of the individuals and systems creating it.

Drawing on experience in financial systems design, long-term social impact work in East Africa, and depth psychology, this work examines why speed without integration creates fragility — and how leaders can build for structural endurance across corporate, educational and non-profit contexts.
